LUNAR LAND.
Wondering where your discarded building materials disappeared to over the last few weeks?
ARTHUR is excited to present “LUNAR LAND” an immersive exhibition made almost entirely out of discarded junk and recycled items. A mash up of Area 51, “Among Us” (ask your kids) and Armstrong era space stuff.
Come and see what can be achieved when you combine imagination, hard rubbish and shed tools.
National Recycling Week is 9-15 November and this years theme is "RECOVERY - A future beyond the bin".
RECYCLING FACTS - The 3 highest materials wasted are packaging, e-waste and food.
Steps to Recycle food Waste The cost of food waste for the average household each year is $1,026! It's enough for a return flight to Fiji.
Steps to Recycle E-Waste 21.7Kg is the amount of e-waste each Australian disposes of each year, one of the highest in the world.
Come check out how much E-Waste we have incorporated into our space. Electrical Cords, TV screens, computers and so much more.
Steps to Recycle Packaging Just 16% of plastic packaging is recovered in Australia compared to 63% of paper and cardboard packaging.
The creators of LUNAR LAND have been busy skip bin diving, and cruising the back doors of furniture stores around Adelaide to gather discarded packaging and building materials that were bound for land fill. You will be in awe of how much wasted material has been repurposed to create a family friendly fun exhibit.
After a visit to LUNAR LAND your kids will only want to play with boxes this Christmas, not the contents !
